"I never thought a book could be so addicting! This book kept me turning the pages. What started out as a slow beginning, turned into fast-pace. Yes it helps us to learn to forgive. But I think a bigger lesson it teaches us is that you have to learn to trust yourself first. Because as I once heard 'trust is the key to forgiveness'. It is really helping me finally understand to stop being so hard on myself. As a teenager myself, it helps so much because I and every one else go through tough times. If only we all had this book to help make it through." Mikayla Laraway, age 12, New York.
"Your friend recommended this book to my family and we got a couple of T-shirts too. I feel that this book is like a guide for teenage girls everywhere who are dealing with life. This book doesn't go through puberty the way some books do and that can make girls feel akward. It really helps us feel good about our selves...I can't wait for the next book to arrive." R. Gruendl, age 12, Fairfax VA. "Sandee: I'm so excited about your book coming out. It's going to be a smash hit!" Sally Strackbein, Professional Speaker and Coach with Defining Story, www.DefiningStory.com.
"This is an amazing story. All teen girls should read it for the great insight and powerful lessons the author shares with the readers. Took me back to my own troubles as a teen and how I could have made better choices and maybe made more of a difference in the lives of others. Sandee Sgarlata has the magic touch as an author, I can't wait for the next book in the series!" M. Starbecker, Ashburn, Virginia.
"I'm 14 and I'm going to be a Freshman. I think my friends would feel the same way I did. I felt like I understood my parents more and I think parents who read this will see some of the things their kids go through. This book was an inspiring story every teenager could connect to." Lauren K., New Jersey.
"I started your book last night and couldn't put it down. Well done. I think it is a book that every teenage girl should read. You did a wonderful job breaking down what could be a very complicated topic (explaining your ego and Higher Self). Truthfully, I never got the whole ego thing until I read your book and read how Jules taught Julia how to listen to her HP and ignore her ego. Its very hard to do. Thank you for making it make sense to me. Wonderful story. I am looking forward to the next book.
Congratulations!" Amy Brown, Arlington, Virginia. "I think the message is good because anytime people can relate and know they are not alone is good. It puts words to what parents try to explain to kids who think they know it all." Mother of two teen age girls, Northern Virginia.
"The first book in the Julia Monroe Series has left me eager for the next one! Sandee Sgarlata has a knack of giving her readers an inside journey of the trials and tribulations of trying to get through the freshmen year in high school. Not only for a teen, but for the parent trying to understand their child." Fran Long, Milton, Delaware.
